Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-13
This Privacy Policy explains how acemail ("we", "us") handles information in connection with acemail (the "Service").
1. Information we process
- Account data — the email address and password used to sign in.
- Mail configuration — the SMTP/IMAP settings you provide, stored encrypted at rest.
- Sending data — recipients, subjects, message content, personalization values, and delivery status recorded for each send.
- Operational data — logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use it
We process this information solely to provide the Service: to send the emails you compose, save copies to your mailbox, record your send history, and support deliverability features such as bounce and complaint suppression.
3. Sending through your own mailbox
Emails are delivered through the mailbox you connect. Message content and delivery are also subject to your mailbox provider's terms and privacy practices.
4. Data retention
Send records and contacts are retained until you delete them or your deployment is decommissioned. Suppression entries are retained to honor unsubscribe and bounce handling.
5. Security
Mailbox credentials are encrypted at rest, access is authenticated, and stored passwords are never returned by the application. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
6. Your choices
Recipients may unsubscribe via the link in applicable emails, which adds them to the suppression list. For requests regarding your own account data, contact us below.
